White-label SEO · For US agencies

White-label SEO delivered quietly, under your brand.

White-label SEO means I do the SEO work and your agency delivers it as your own. Your client sees your team, your reports and your name. You get a senior specialist without hiring one, and you can say yes to SEO work instead of turning it away or subcontracting to someone who might go around you.

Problems this service solves

Four reasons agencies bring in an SEO partner

Most agencies do not have an SEO problem so much as a capacity and confidence problem. The demand is there; the ability to deliver it well without hiring is not.

01

You keep turning down SEO work

Clients ask, and you decline or pass it on because nobody in the team can deliver it properly. That is revenue leaving, and often a client relationship weakening with it.

Lost revenue
02

Hiring a senior specialist is not viable yet

An experienced SEO lead is an expensive full-time hire, and you do not have the consistent volume to justify one. Junior hires need supervision you cannot provide.

Hiring gap
03

Your last subcontractor was a risk

Work of uneven quality, slow replies, or a freelancer who approached your client directly. Once that has happened, delegating anything feels dangerous.

Trust
04

You can sell it but not explain it

Your team can win the work and then struggle in the technical conversation. Clients notice, and confidence erodes even when the underlying work is fine.

Depth
What this actually costs an agency
Declined work rarely comes back

A client who takes SEO elsewhere frequently takes more with it over time. The agency that owns search often ends up owning the wider relationship.

Under-delivering is worse than declining

Taking on SEO and doing it badly damages a relationship that was otherwise healthy. Agencies lose retainers over one poorly handled service far more often than they lose them over saying no.

Your team is doing work below their level

When account managers spend evenings researching technical SEO they half understand, you are paying senior rates for junior-quality output and burning goodwill at the same time.

What is included

What white-label SEO covers

The full range, or whichever parts you need. Most agencies start with one service and expand once the working relationship is established.

06areas covered
on every engagement
01SEO audits under your brand+
Complete website audits delivered as your agency’s document, written for a client to read rather than for another specialist. These are frequently the first thing agencies bring me in for, because they are contained and easy to price.
02Strategy and roadmaps+
What the client should do, in what order, with the reasoning your team can defend in a meeting. Some partnerships are strategy only, with your team executing everything.
03Technical SEO delivery+
Crawling, indexing, speed and migration work, delivered as tickets your developers or the client’s developers can act on. Written so nobody needs to come back to me for interpretation.
04Content planning and briefs+
Keyword research, subject planning and briefs your writers can work from. You keep the writing in-house, which most agencies prefer, and get the direction that makes it effective.
05Reporting your team can send+
Monthly reporting in plain language, branded as yours, ready to forward without editing. Tied to inquiries and revenue rather than positions alone.
06Being available when it helps+
If you want a specialist on a pitch or a difficult client call, I will join as part of your team. If you would prefer I never appear, that works too. Your call, every time.
How it runs

How an agency partnership works

01

A conversation about fit

What you sell, what your clients need, where your gap is and how you prefer to work. Some agencies want a silent partner; others want a specialist on calls. Both are fine and they run differently.

A clear working arrangement
02

Agreement and boundaries

Non-solicitation, confidentiality and communication rules written down before any work begins. I am happy to sign your agreement rather than propose my own.

Protection in writing
03

A first project

Usually a single audit or one client account. It lets both sides find out how the working relationship actually feels before anything larger is committed to.

A contained first engagement
04

Scaling at your pace

Once the process is proven, adding accounts is straightforward because the templates, reporting format and communication rhythm already exist.

A repeatable arrangement
Why choose me

A white-label partner and an SEO reseller platform are different things

Most white-label SEO is sold as a platform: you submit an order, work comes back from whoever is available, and nobody involved understands the client. Here is the difference.

What you receive

What your agency receives

Main deliverable

Work you can put your name on

Everything arrives unbranded or in your branding, written for your client to read, so your team can forward it rather than rewrite it.

  • Audits, strategies and reports in your branding, ready to send
  • Technical work written as tickets developers can action independently
  • Content briefs your own writers can work from directly
  • A written non-solicitation and confidentiality agreement
  • Direct access to me, usually same-day replies during your working hours

Support on pitches

If a prospect wants technical depth in the room, I can join as a member of your team. Several agencies use this to win work they would otherwise not be shortlisted for.

Pricing you can mark up

Clear project or per-account pricing so you know your margin before you quote, rather than discovering it afterwards.

Documents that need no editing

Reports and plans written for a business owner. The technical detail sits in an appendix rather than in the middle of the client’s summary.

A partner who stays invisible

If you would prefer your client never knows an external specialist exists, that is entirely workable and it is how most of these arrangements run.

Case study

Leading SEO delivery inside someone else’s team

Before working independently, I led SEO inside agency teams — managing more than twenty webmasters, content managers and copywriters as SEO Manager, and working within a fifty-person team at ProDev Consults.

That is the same arrangement a white-label partnership asks for: senior SEO work delivered through other people’s client relationships, in their format, without the client ever needing to know where the specialism sat. It is the part of the job I have done longest.

Project fit

Is a white-label partnership right for your agency?

A strong fit when

  • You are turning down SEO work or passing it to competitors
  • You need senior SEO capability without a full-time hire
  • Your team can sell SEO but struggles to deliver it confidently
  • You want strategy support while your team handles execution
  • You have been burned by a subcontractor and want written boundaries

Another service may suit better

  • You are the client rather than an agency — see the full list of services
  • You need dozens of accounts handled at low cost — a reseller platform will suit you better
  • You want links produced in volume at low prices — see how I approach link building
  • You want someone to front the relationship — that is a direct engagement, not white-label

Frequently asked questions

White-label SEO questions from agencies

01What is white-label SEO?+
White-label SEO is when an outside specialist does the SEO work and your agency delivers it under your own brand. Your client deals with you, sees your reports and never needs to know an external partner is involved. It lets an agency offer SEO properly without hiring a senior specialist full time.
02Will my clients know you are involved?+
Only if you want them to. The default is that I stay invisible: everything is delivered unbranded or in your branding, and I never contact your clients. If you would rather introduce me as a specialist on your team, that also works. It is your relationship and your decision.
03How do I know you will not approach my clients?+
We sign an agreement covering non-solicitation and confidentiality before any work starts, and I am happy to sign your paperwork rather than propose my own. Beyond the legal position, it would be a poor commercial decision — agency partnerships are worth considerably more to me than any single client would be.
04How is white-label SEO priced?+
Either per project for audits and one-off work, or a monthly amount per client account for ongoing programs. You are told the cost up front so you can set your own margin before quoting. There is no requirement to commit to a volume of accounts.
05Can you join client calls?+
Yes, if you want me to. Some agencies bring me onto pitches or technical calls as a member of their team, which can help win work that needs visible depth. Others prefer I never appear. Both are normal and neither costs extra.
06What if we only need strategy, not execution?+
That is a common arrangement and often the most efficient one. I provide the audit, the strategy and the briefs; your team executes. It costs you less and it uses your existing capacity, which is usually the point of bringing in a partner at all.
07How many agencies do you work with?+
Deliberately few. Capacity is the constraint in this kind of work, and taking on more agencies than I can serve properly would undermine the reason to choose a partner over a platform. If I do not have room, I will say so rather than stretch and disappoint you.
08What happens if one of your clients competes with ours?+
I will tell you before it becomes an issue and we agree how to handle it. In practice I avoid taking on directly competing businesses in the same market, because it puts me in a position where I cannot do a good job for either of them.
A deeper explanation

A closer look at white-label SEO partnerships

Most agencies reach the same point eventually: clients start asking for SEO, and the choice is to hire someone expensive, decline the work, or take it on and hope. All three are uncomfortable. A white-label partnership is the fourth option, and it works well when it is set up as a working relationship rather than as an order-taking arrangement.

Why platforms usually disappoint

White-label SEO is mostly sold as a marketplace. You submit an order, it is assigned to whoever is available, and work comes back written for another specialist rather than for your client. Nobody who touched it knows what the client sells or what you promised in the pitch. Your account manager then spends hours translating the report into something sendable, which is exactly the work you were trying to avoid. The alternative is slower to set up and considerably better once it is running: the same person on your accounts every time, who learns your clients and your standards.

What agencies actually seem to need

Having done this from both sides, the gap is usually not execution. Most agencies can implement changes; what they lack is someone senior enough to decide what should be done and defend it in front of a client who is paying attention. That is why a fair number of these partnerships end up being strategy and audits only, with the agency’s own team doing the work. It costs the agency less, uses capacity they are already paying for, and fills the piece that was genuinely missing.

The trust question, addressed directly

The concern every agency raises is a subcontractor going around them, and it is a fair concern because it happens. The formal answer is a written agreement covering non-solicitation and confidentiality, signed before anything starts, and I am happy to use your paperwork. The practical answer is simpler: an agency relationship that runs for years across multiple clients is worth far more than any single account, so approaching your client would be a bad trade even setting aside the ethics of it. I would rather say that plainly than expect it to be assumed.

Reports that do not need rewriting

A large amount of agency time is wasted turning specialist reporting into something a client can read. My reports are written for a business owner from the start — plain language, tied to inquiries and revenue rather than positions alone, with technical detail in an appendix for developers. Your branding goes on the front and your account manager forwards it. That single change tends to save more agency hours than anything else in the arrangement.

Where this arrangement does not fit

It is worth being clear about the limits. If you need thirty accounts serviced at a low monthly cost, a platform will suit you better and I would say so on the first call. If you want links produced in volume cheaply, my approach to link building will frustrate you. And if you are the business rather than the agency, you do not need a white-label arrangement at all — you should just work with me directly, and the SEO audit is usually the sensible starting point. Agencies working in specific sectors may also find the digital agencies page useful.
